Mayor Laura R. Hoydick has announced the launch of the Town of Stratford’s Fraud Alert system to notify owners of new transactions regarding their property. This is a free tool to help property owners protect one of their most valuable assets. With Fraud Alert, residents can sign up to receive notifications whenever a document (for example, a mortgage) is recorded under your name.
Town Clerk, Susan M. Pawluk, MCTC, CMC, reminds residents to please remember that there may be other property owners in Stratford who have the same name.
This new tool provided by IQS is an easy way for homeowners to have peace of mind.
