Mayor Laura R. Hoydick would like to invite Stratford students ages 0-12 to become a Mayor’s Reading Champion by participating in the 2024 Summer Reading Challenge. The program is sponsored by the Office of the Mayor, the Stratford Library, and in partnership with Stratford Schools. To become a Champion, I ask that you read at least eight books this summer.

All Champions who register by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, will be honored with a Mayor’s Reading Champion certificate of recognition at the Summer Reading Challenge Celebration, where Champions will be treated to ice cream sundaes and other surprises. The celebration is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7th, 2024, at the historic Perry House, 1028 West Broad Street, Stratford, CT. This is a drop-in event; families are welcome to stop by any time between 3:30 to 5:30pm.
